In this episode, Christopher Porter will share women-owned business funding resources as well as other information. 

Christopher Porter is Senior Executive at Porter Financial Consultants. His mission is to provide “Access” to capital for those seeking funding assistance. Mr. Porter has been very vocal in his outreach efforts to change the perception that people can’t get a loan due to “Poor Personal Credit”.

Mr. Porter has spent a lot of time, specifically challenging people in inner cities to realize their financial dreams, of being a small business owner. “Porter Financial Consultants has all of what clients need to go from Poor Credit with No Options to their Grand Openings within a matter of months!”

Mr. Porter attended St. Vincent College, of Latrobe, PA and studied psychology. Abeni "Celeste" Scott born in Miami, Florida, enlisted in the Army in February 1997. She worked as a Automated Logistics Specialists (92A) working as a warehouse clerk. In 2010 she became an expert in her field and was appointed Chief Warrant Officer. Abeni retired from the Army in March 2017 having served 20 years. Abeni holds a Masters of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She is the owner of an online fashion boutique for women called Dress up Room By Four Girls.

Abeni volunteers at a local women’s shelter for domestic violence, sexual assault and human sex trafficking victims where she has helped women transform their life. She has experience in early childhood education and volunteers at a local Elementary school. She is a Co Author and Best Seller of Camouflaged Sisters: Behind the Rank Vol 1. She has been invited to speak on several platforms in her community that Inspire and Empower women to walk in their Greatness. She is currently Co-writing a book promoting the Power of Positive Living due this Fall.

Last weekend I attended V-Wise (Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship). It was obsolutely awesome. 

"Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) is a premier training program in entrepreneurship and small business management operated by the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University. It is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and the generous philanthropic support of corporate and foundation partners nationwide. V-WISE helps women veterans and female military spouses/partners find their passion and learn the business savvy skills necessary to turn an idea or start-up into a growing venture. The three-phases of the program include a 15-day online course (Phase I), 3-day entrepreneurship training event (Phase II), and ongoing mentorship, training and support opportunities for graduates launching or growing their business (Phase III)." - IVMF

Episode 4: Living A Full Life With PTSD

I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which is accompanied with depression, anxiety, nightmares, flashbacks, sensitivity to noise, and memory loss. When I was first diagnosed I had no idea what was going on. I didn't know how to handle it or how my life would change. I felt weak and useless. With time and lots of work I built a tool kit of coping mechanisms that serve to help me maintain stability. Today I live a beautiful life. Below are the 7 ways I live a full life with PTSD.
